Mela l-aħħar waħda issa hi li Alternattiva Demokratika saret partit kommunista.
Meta Henrik Piski rreżenja mill-Eżekuttiv ta’ AD, inkluż minn Deputat Segretarju Ġenerali u kelliemi qal li ma jaqbilx mal-kommemorazzjoni minn AD ta’ Jum il-Ħaddiem nhar l-Ewwel ta’ Mejju. B’mod partikolari iddejjaq meta saret konferenza stampa dwar il-materja quddiem il-monument li jfakkar it-twaqqif tal-GWU fl-Imsida. Dan qal Piski hu simboliżmu qawwi li jfakkru fil-pajjiżi komunisti.
Imissu l-konferenza stampa saret quddiem l-uffiċini tal-ETC (Ħal-Far) qal Piski.
Għal dawn ir-raġunijiet imġebbda AD qed tkun deskritta bħala komunista!
Li Piski għandu dawn l-ideat nifhmu. Mhux biss għax qalhom imma għax hu oriġina mill-Lvant tal-Ewropa u kull ilma jaħsbu misħun. Imma li jkun hemm min irewwaħlu u jkabbar u jesagera dak li jgħid, din storja oħra. Bilfors twassal għal konklużjoni li hemm min irid jinqeda bih għal xi skop ieħor. Iż-żmien jagħtina parir.
F’Alternattiva niddiskutu. Xi kultanjt naħseb li niddiskutu ż-żejjed. U meta tiddiskuti joħorġu l-kuntrasti tal-ideat. Kull wieħed minna f’AD għandu l-ideat tiegħu. Mhux l-ewwel darba li ma naqblux. Ħafna drabi nirriżolvu l-opinjonijiet differenti billi naslu għal kunsens. Dak li jiġri f’partit serju u demokratiku.
Not easy to understand Maltese 😉 Carmel, it is all about symbols and wordings, which ultimately represent ideas. The Workers monument has never been a Green place, and hopefully never will. If you have a close look at the picture of the PR of you taken, you will see many floating GWU flags around you. “Workers” is also not a Green word, a least not with German or French Greens. I agree with you that everyone has his own ideas, I realized that Alternattiva is not open to Green Realpolitik ideas for now, and as being in minority and not able to take an influence, I had no other choice than to leave. One should analyze the Green movements abroad where they have been successful. In Germany and France, they have dropped their fundamental approach and opened to other parties, resulting in the active participation in government, thus taking responsibilities. You will see that the french Greens will also achieve this with Hollande. AD should think about it and not navigate in waters of others..
Henrik, As always I respect your views. But I think that this is a storm in a teacup. In my humble opinion it is not resigning material. You are exagerating.
Being on the losing side of an argument one day does not mean that it will always be so, as you are aware. Internal debate has always cleared the air and clarified misconceptions.
I will not appeal that you reconsider as you are fully capable of making up your own mind. As AD’s Deputy Chairman I only ask that in your considerations you keep matters in their proper perspective.
Carmel
X’hemm hazin li taghmel konferenza stampa quddiem monument tal-GWU? il-GWU ghamlet sbalji, izda ghamlet hafna gid ukoll.
It is not about GWU but about Green symbols
Unfortunately, there are not many Green symbols in Malta in front of which to hold meetings.
Moreover. if AD decide to have a meeting in relation to a political matter to which there is no Green connection, by Henrik’s logic, would it have to be held in outer space? or possibily in front of the cradle of Maltese democracy at the PN power elite headquaters in Pieta!!? The PN headquarters are in my opinion a green symbol, but a different type of green, a substantive matter called ‘hdura’ in the native arabic dialect.
Remember, Henrik, symbols are just a matter of spin – or to put it another way a matter of aroma rather than substance. They are not that important.
